40 minutes from an oil change, lost, I walked into an antique shop and found a 100-year-old leather-bound encyclopedia titled "The Book of Knowledge" — Volume 13 of the Grolier Society. A page fell out on its own. It was about Fra Angelico, a monk who never picked up a brush without prayer. The artist-monk of Florence.
Found ObjectAn hour of negotiating in Spanish in Miami. A AAA stainless steel chain that has survived 4+ years through chlorine, saltwater, and every pool in between without a single spot of rust. Some things are earned, not purchased.
Acquired ObjectA ring of meteorite on the same chain — high iron-nickel content, magnetically charged. Material that fell from outside Earth's atmosphere, predating every human civilization and every symbol ever carved. Worn daily.
